His Excellency Ioannis Metaxas, the Greek Ambassador to the State of Qatar, is amazed by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy's efforts in hosting a successful 2022 FIFA World Cup™. "When I met journalists in Greece last November, I explained to them that heat is not an issue for Qatar because Qatar is able to find solutions," he said.

The Ambassador attended the last night of the Brazil 2014 Fan Zone for the live screening of the FIFA 2014 World Cup™ Final that saw Germany win the tournament for the fourth time. "The cooling technology in the Brazil 2014 Fan Zone and at Aspire is first class," said the Ambassador after visiting the Fan Zone.

The envoy added that he has seen a lot of interest internationally from companies that wanted to take part in the delivery of stadia and infrastructure in Qatar. "We want to pay tribute to the efforts of the Supreme Committee."
